Three

"Hey, dad." I said going into the house.
"Hey, where were you?"
"Kris', some of the guys were over there."
"Oh. Did you have fun?"
"Yeah, they are pretty funny." I said laughing.
"They are a big family, that's for sure."
"I'm going with Kris tomorrow, he's going to show me Pittsburgh."
"That sounds fun. You've been spending a lot of time with him."
"Yeah, I guess. We're friends."
"Just friends?" he said with an eyebrow raised.
I laughed. "Yes dad, just friends."

I woke up the next mourning and sighed. I didn't go to bed till four. It with 930. So I got up to get ready. I got a quick shower, and dried my hair, straightening it. I put on a dark purple v-neck tee, and a pair of ripped shorts. I put on the necklace that Chris gave me before I left, and went downstairs. I looked out the window and Kris pulled in. I slipped on my shoes and walked outside and got in the car.

"You never wear any normal shirts. Do you?" Kris asked.
I laughed. "What do you mean?"
"You always wear a v-neck shirt."
"So? It's not like you mind." I smiled.
"Yeah, yeah." he said.

"So where are we going first?" I asked.
"Wherever you want too. What kind of place do you want to see?"
"How about a place to eat. I'm hungry."
He laughed. "Sounds good. I'll show you one of my favorite places."

I laughed when we pulled up to Denny's. He looked at me and smiled.
"Well.. you did tell me your favorite food was pancakes." he said.
"You remember that?" I asked kinda shocked.
"Of coarse." he said.
"Well.. that's really sweet." I said, and smiled. I reached up and kissed him on the check.
He smiled back at me "avancé." he said. I thought about it for a minute. Come on. That's what it meant.
"Okay." I said and got out of the car.

We walked into Denny's and sat down.
"Okay. So, I know this sounds kinda weird, but since I don't know. How old are you?" I said laughing.
He smiled. "I turned twenty-one in April. You?"
"I turned nineteen a week before I came here."
"Really? That's cool."
I smiled. "Yeah.. I guess."

"What do you want to do now?" he asked me.
"Um.. I'm not sure. Maybe go and walk around, see the different stores?"
"That sounds good. Ready to go?" he asked me.
"Yupp." I said standing up.

We left our car there and just walked to the stores. We saw this candy store. I made him go in. I loved candy. I saw a ton of things that I wanted. But, I only got half of them. Kris got his own bag. When we walked out Kris handed me his bag of candy. I looked at him.
"Happy late birthday." he said.
I smiled and gave him a hug. Something felt different about this hug, from any other hugs I have had. I pulled away and smiled. "Thank you." He smiled back. "Your welcome."

"So. Are you going to ride the plane with us and your dad to Detroit?" he asked.
"I think so. I'm just going to ride there and go to the hotel and then go pick up my friend at the airport a little later."
"Wow. Your busy." he laughed.
"Yeah.. so, what do you guys normally do on the plane?"
"Play PSP." he laughed.
"I see. So I'm probably better off sitting with my dad, then any of the guys?"
"Any of the guys? yes. Me? no. You can sit with me. I mean.. if you want."
"That would be good. If you don't mind."
"Of coarse I don't mind."

"So. Do you watch any hockey?"
"No. Basketball girl, here." I said pointing to myself.
"Really? Who's your favorite team?"
"The Spurs."
"Really? I like them."
"You watch basketball?"
"Yeah, I watch pretty much every sport."
I laughed. "I can understand. Who's your favorite team?"
He smiled. "San Antonio."
"No way!"
"Yeah, I'm a big fan of Tony Parker."
"So am I!"

Just then it started pouring down rain. "Damn it." I said, and ran under a roof in front of a store.
"Here." Kris said taking off his hoodie and handing it to me.
"Aren't you going to be wet, then?" I asked.
"Yeah, but I don't care." he said smiling at me.
I smiled back and put his hoodie on. I secretly smelled it. It smelled pretty good.
I put the hood up and we stepped back into the rain.

"Oh wait! I have an umbrella!" I said. I took it out of my purse and opened it.
"Here." I said handing it to Kris. He held it up, and I came closer to him. It was a small umbrella, so we were pretty close.

We walked back to Denny's. It stopped raining, and we toke the umbrella down. But, we didn't bother moving apart. I smiled to myself and Kris looked at me "Why are you smiling?" he asked.
"No reason." I said looking up at him and gave him a slight smile.
"With you, I know there is never no reason." he said smiling back.
"You don't know me that well."
"Oh, but I do."
"Yeah, okay. Let's just get in the car." I said laughing.

We both got into the car. "Ready to go home?" he asked me.
"Ughh.. I'm not ready to go home." I said putting my head back and closing my eyes.
"Want to go back to my place?"
"You don't mind?"
"Not at all."
"Okay. Then, yes."

"What do you want to do?" he asked once we got into his house.
"This." I said jumping on his coach and laying there.
He laughed. "Jour occupé pour vous, eh?"
I looked up at him, "Huh?"
He laughed. "I said. Busy day for you, eh?"
I smiled. "Yes, It was."

"I still don't get it." he said as I sat up and he sat next to me.
"What are you talking about?"
"How can someone who lived in Canada that long, not remember French?"
"Hey! It's hard when you have lived everywhere. I still know some, I'm just not fluent. I have a southern accent."
"I can tell."
"Really." I said looking at him.
"Yes, It's just the way you talk. You can tell you lived in the south."
"Well.. that's good I guess."
"Not in Pittsburgh, It isn't." he laughed.
"Yeah, okay." I smiled at him.

"Want something to drink?" he asked.
"Coke. Soda. Pop. Whatever." I said getting frustrated.
He laughed and got up and walked into the kitchen.
I grabbed the remote and turned on TV. I turned to Friends and watched it. I laughed.
"What are you laughing at?" Kris asked me walking into the living room.
I pointed to the TV. "I love this show."
He laughed. "Well.. I see you are making yourself comfortable." laughed, at how I just kinda did whatever.
"Hey! If we are going to be friends, I must be this way!"
"Must."
"Yes, must."

He looked at me for a second. "Um. Here's your drink." He said handing it to me.
"Thanks." I said smiling at him. He smiled back and sat down.
I was watching Friends very carefully then all of a sudden SportsCenter was on.
"Hey!" I yelled.
"My house." he said smiling at me.
"Not far!" I yelled.
He got up, "You turn the channel, and then your just going to leave!"
"Yupp." he said and turned around still holding the remote.

I got up and ran after him. I jumped on him, and he was shocked. "Give me the remote!" I yelled grabbed it, and trying to get it off of him. That went on for a bit when someone opened the door.
"Uhh. Did I interrupt something?" Tyler asked with a smile.
"No." We both said and I got off of him. I quickly grabbed the remote. I stuck my tongue out at Kris, and he laughed. I walked over and sat down, turning Friends back on.

Tyler and Kris went in the kitchen and talked in there. About an hour later Kris came back out and Tyler left. We sat there and watched TV. I looked at the clock. 9:00. I probably should get going, but I didn't want to get up. I must of fell asleep because I don't remember anything after that.

Kris' point of view
The show we were watching ended, and I looked over to Carissa. She was sleeping. She looked so peaceful. I didn't want to wake her up for her just to go back to sleep, so I picked up my phone and called Ray.
"Hey Ray, it's Kris." I said once he answered his phone.
"Hi, Kris."
"Okay, hey. Carissa fell asleep on the coach watching TV. Can she just stay here tonight?"
"Don't do anything Kris." He said in a stern voice.
"I won't I promise."
"Okay, Kris. I trust you. She can stay."
"Thank you."
"Your welcome, now get some sleep, you have to be up early for the plane."
"Will do. Bye."
"Bye."

I sighed and looked at Carissa one more time. I reached behind me and grabbed the blanket. I put it on her, and went upstairs to go to bed.

Carissa's point of view
I woke up not remembering where I was. Oh yeah, I was at Kris'. Shit. My dad was going to kill me. I sat up and saw Kris was in the kitchen. I walked in there.
"Mourning." Kris smiled.
"Um. Mourning. Kris, you need to take me home my dad is going to flip."
"Relax, I called him last night. He is fine."
"Really?"
"Yes, really. Here eat some of this." he said handing me pancakes. I looked up at him and smiled.
"Thanks." He smiled back.

"We are going to leave in about twenty minutes for you to go to your place, and get packed and everything. Then I will see you at the airport."
"Okay. Don't forget I'm sitting with you."
"I won't." he said smiling.

I finished eating my pancakes, and we left to go to my house.
"Bye, see you soon." Kris said.
"Bye," I said getting out of the car. "Thanks, again."
"Anytime." he said and pulled out of the driveway.

I went upstairs, and packed some things. I called Cheyenne, just to make sure of when her flight was coming in, and went downstairs. I waited for my dad to come downstairs, and then we left.
